Fun Friday: Dreams

A dream is a wish your heart makes…when you’re fast asleep…

Let me tell ya—Cinderella knew what she was talking about!

And thankfully, some dreams do come true.

For the last year, I’ve been dreaming about what’s going to happen next week, when I set foot in Dallas at my first major writing conference (American Christian Fiction Writers).

I’ve dreamed of all the hugs I’ll share with people I’ve met online but not yet in person, of all the awesome new friends I’ll make, and of the internal tears I’ll surely shed when I feel surrounded by people with a common gift and a common goal.

I know that I’m blessed. Not everyone will get to be there this year. I don’t know why I get to go, but I’m so incredibly exciting to see what God has in store.

And for you friends who I won’t get to meet, I’ll be praying for you, that God will allow a dream of yours to come true this year!

Your Turn: What wish is your heart making this year?

  3. I look forward to meeting so many wonderful people too! Can't wait to learn new things and listen to so many pros in this business.

My wish? I suppose it's to have one of my stories picked up by an agent. But that's in the Lord's hands, not mine. I am just so incredibly grateful for this chance to mingle, learn, and improve.

    God is good!!

    1. You are so right...God is good, no matter if we get an agent, or a book contract, or whatever. He is good and this conference is gonna rock our socks off!

  6. Internal tears? I'm pretty sure at more than one point those babies will be rolling down my face! :) I'm already way too emotional about this whole wonderful thing (see my blog!). I have to echo what you said: "I don’t know why I get to go, but I’m so incredibly excited to see what God has in store." This is going to be a highlight in my life and I'm so happy I get to share some of it with you (and Melissa, and Keli, and Beth, and Jessica P., and Katie G., and Donna, and Ava, and on and on and on! :)
